This design is inspired by textile made by the Kuba people who reside in the Congo in Central Africa. It is created from the leaves of the raffia tree and handwoven to make Kuba cloth.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE!

Be sure to order enough fabric to complete your project. This will ensure that all of your fabric will be printed from the same dye lot and calibration. There are slight color variations between dye lots and daily instrument calibrations, making it nearly impossible to create an exact color match to any previous order.

SHIMMER VELVET (54 inch width)

DESCRIPTION

This shimmering custom printed Velvet Shimmer fabric is a brushed faux velvet that works well for upholstery applications, decorative pillows, and other decor or craft projects. Weighing in at 10.9 oz, this fabric is made from spun polyester fibers which produces the brushed face effect and is reinforced by an extra durable woven back. This fabric is very taut with no give in elasticity. The pile runs smooth top to bottom, with excellent recovery. It is slightly opaque and allows light through, but only very slightly.

USAGE

With a great recovery, this fabric is highly suitable for use in cushions, upholstery, bags and many other craft projects. Great results during Abrasion testing, using the rating of 1-5, with 5 being the best. Velvet Shimmer achieved grade 4-5 across all colors, wet and dry, with slight shade change after 3,000 rubs - Grade 4. Certified for any end use within furnishings upholstery - certificates available on request.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To clean, hand wash or cold wash on delicate cycle with mild, phosphate free detergent. Do not soak. If handwashing, do not wring fabric but squeeze excess water out instead. Lay flat to dry and DO NOT TUMBLE DRY . If fibers stiffen after it has completely dried, then give it a gentle brush using a stiff brush until you feel it relax and return to its softened state. DO NOT IRON. Instead, use a steamer to remove wrinkles. DO NOT DRY CLEAN. We suggest that you wash a fabric scrap first in order to verify that your choice of detergent produces acceptable results.

Your order will be shipped within 4-7 business days. Once shipped, allow an additional 2-4 days for delivery via FedEx. Tracking information will be provided and SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED UPON DELIVERY.

CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS:

Our ordering process is fully automated. Once you submit your order, it is placed on hold for 4 hours and then automatically transferred to the production queue. Once an order enters into production, we are unable to retrieve it. For this reason, we are only able to accept cancellations for fabric orders within 4 hours of order placement.

All of our fabric is printed to order in the quantity you select using the same dye color lot. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the custom nature of our fabric, no returns or exchanges are accepted. Please Contact Us right away if your order arrives damaged so that we can make it right.
